We are seeking a highly motivated Computational Biologist with substantial experience in mass-spectrometry informatics to join our Data Science team in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will lead methods development for mass-spectrometry based proteome-wide chemical screens data analysis. This role will provide exposure to multiple phases of drug discovery and an opportunity to work with computational chemists, structural biologists, and machine learning experts to make a computational drug design a reality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead building informatics pipeline for mass-spectrometry based proteomics.
  • Develop novel computational methods to support mass-spectrometry group exploratory R&D activities
  • Analyze data from high-throughput chemical libraries/proteome interactions screens
  • Lead development of in-house tools to enable chemical biology data discovery, visualization, and analysis.
  • Work in close collaboration with scientists from chemical biology group actively contributing to research, methods development and experimental design.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. in quantitative scientific field and 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Understanding of current state-of-the-art methods for mass-spectrometry based proteomics data analyses and their underlying statistical principles.
  • Experience in development of computational methods for processing and extracting biological data from mass-spectrometry based proteomics datasets.
  • A strong record of achievement, including publications in high-impact journals.
  • Strong coding skills, fluency in using Python and/or R for complex data analysis.
  • Experience with AWS compute environment is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Java is a strong plus.

We are seeking a highly motivated accomplished scientific leader to join our dynamic drug discovery efforts in Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA. This candidate will serve a critical role in developing a strategy to lead the company’s efforts for the non-clinical translational science disciplines to advance the organization’s drug discoveries into early- and late-stage development and subsequent registration in collaboration with Research, Clinical and Operations leadership. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and scientific perspective on the current and future research and development strategy as well as company project pipeline.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD with a demonstrated record of drug discovery and development within the life sciences industry. Experience in either the ADME/PK and/or toxicology/pathology disciplines is preferred.

We are seeking a highly motivated experienced CMC leader to join our organization in Boston, MA. This candidate will serve a critical role in developing the CMC strategy and provide technical leadership to advance the organization’s drug candidates into early- and late-stage development and subsequent registration. This position will partner with global CMOs, CROs and external consultants to ensure the successful operational execution of the clinical manufacturing (drug substance and drug product) for our small molecule portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for CMC development and clinical manufacturing for small molecules
  • Provide strategic advice and oversight in support of pre-formulation, formulation development, early and late process optimization and development, analytical assessment and release, solid state characterization, stability studies and troubleshooting. Responsible for understanding and applying data generated to modify/optimize manufacturing process, formulations and product presentation.
  • Manage and oversee CMC development activities at external CMOs/CROs.
  • Contribute to and review, in collaboration with external CMOs and SMEs, appropriate CMC sections of global regulatory submissions to support regulatory filings including those associated with INDs, CTAs, IMPDs, NDAs and PAIs. Serve as SME for areas of responsibility in meeting with regulatory authorities.
  • Review and approve CMC development reports, batch records, and other technical documents to support the advancement of CMC development activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert by proactively identifying potential risks, resource constraints, and conflicts that could impact project timelines; collaborate within the development team to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Direct/oversee contract manufacturing, testing, packaging, labeling as well as forecasting drug supply needs, for the company’s products entering into clinical trials.
  • Prepares and monitors budgets for CMC development projects. Ensures spending is in alignment with agreed targets.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD or master’s degree in chemical sciences.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical development experience with at least 5 years of CMC project team leadership in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Successful track record in leading CMC activities through transition from research to clinic, through to registration.
  • Significant experience working with external CMOs/CROs/SMEs.
  • Demonstrated scientific knowledge relevant to development and manufacture of drug substance and product and management of clinical trial supplies.
  • Thorough understanding of ICH, FDA, and EMA guidance and GMP requirements governing product/process development and manufacturing, and stability.

We are seeking a highly motivated, scientific leader with a deep knowledge of cancer biology and lineage transcription factors, and a demonstrated track record of success in target validation and small molecule drug discovery to join our team in South San Franciso. The successful candidate will enact a leadership role on a multi-disciplinary project team to drive small molecule drug discovery from inception into the clinic. He/she will define the path to drug discovery from target validation through to candidate selection by leveraging internal and external resources. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conceive, communicate and execute on multi-disciplinary research strategies for elucidating the mechanistic basis of target dependency to inform targeting modality, and for identifying biomarkers for early patient stratification.
  • Co-lead the new target hit identification team to advance new programs to hit-to-lead stage and beyond.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced medicinal chemist with a demonstrated track record of successes in drug discovery and synthetic organic chemistry. This person will provide leadership in the discovery of drug candidates though advanced medicinal and synthetic organic chemistry and help manage external resources in support of Scorpion Therapeutics’ projects from hit ID to development candidate identification.   • MS or PhD specializing in synthetic organic synthesis with 8+ years of experience or 3+ years of experience in industry, respectively, supporting the synthetic and medicinal chemistry of drug discovery projects.
  • Experience managing and interacting with synthetic chemistry CROs.
  • A strong record of achievement with a broad understanding of synthetic and medicinal chemistry as evidenced by contributions to drug programs.
  • Understanding of other drug discovery disciplines (e.g., biology, safety, PKDM, etc.).
  • Proficient skills in the use of structure-based or other computer-aided design tools.

We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Data Science team in Boston.  The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the company data ecosystem – working on development of web tools for scientific data exploration. This role will provide exposure to multiple phases of drug discovery and an opportunity to be a key contributor on a diverse, multidisciplinary team working on cures for cancer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain internal web-portal to enable data discovery, visualization, and analysis.
  • Work closely with company scientists to gather and implement feedback.
  • Adhere to code documentation and version control best practices.
  • Maintain excellent communication across internal and external team members.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong coding skills, fluency in Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience in front-end development using React, Angular or any other modern framework.
  • Experience in SQL database enabled back-end development.
  • Good hands-on experience in Python Restful API development.
  • Experience in data visualization.
  • Experience working with AWS cloud environment.
  • Working knowledge of Java is highly desired.
  • Experience with Nextflow DSL is a plus.

We are seeking a Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at Scorpion Therapeutics in Boston, MA. In this role, you will be the lead member for desktop support at Scorpion Therapeutics. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide timely and effective end user support via ticket tracking platform.
  • Provide support around conference room technology and select meetings.
  • Assist in management of corporate user account identities.
  • Handling of equipment for staff onboarding & offboarding.
  • Ensuring our standard applications are being deployed correctly and with the most efficient configurations to our endpoints.
  • Manage our endpoint inventory including keeping accurate asset records.
  • Recommend technology improvements and or processes changes to drive a more efficient help desk and or endpoint management environment.
  • Foster collaborative culture within the IT team, and between its partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing end user support including supporting executive leadership.
  • Experience in deploying endpoint computers via Autopilot, Microsoft MDT or other imaging based solutions.
  • Experience with modern endpoint management tools such as Intune or other MDM type solutions.
  • Experience with building deployment packages for distribution to endpoints.

CAPABILITIES

  • Able to provide a calm and responsive desk side manner.
  • Ability to work with vendor support if necessary to resolve various software issues.
  • Ability to build software into distributable packages for tools such as Intune.
  • Ability to be organized to properly track corporate assets.
